'It' is Taking Over!

For the first time I am already seeing that this baby has a mind of its own. I am not a picky eater! If I have leftovers for every meal 3 days in a row it doesn't bother me....it's just food...until now! For breakfast I always eat, a small thing of Dannon yogurt and a fruit & nut granola bar....ALWAYS! As of this week neither will be on my grocery list for a while, they just don't taste good anymore. Chocolate doesn't even sound good...wait a minute...this could be a good thing! Luckily my cravings this week are for watermelon, tomatoes, pickles, and pizza...at least 3 out of 4 are healthy!

I had already heated up my Lean Cuisine for lunch yesterday and one of the other teachers walked in with pizza from our cafeteria. Until now I wouldn't be caught dead eating school pizza(it's nasty). It was all I could do not to jump up and throw my healthy Lean Cuisine away and go get some greasy, doughy, school pizza! If that doesn't prove that this child hasn't taken over my taste buds I don't know what will!

I'm sure that these cravings will change from week to week...so this could get interesting!

All relaxed....

I had such a relaxing weekend. We went to a hunting show where Koby's new J-O-B had a booth. He had to work all weekend at the booth but it was still fun. It is so nice that he finally likes a job. It changes the whole attitude of our house! He enjoys going to work everyday, and is happy when he comes home. WOW What a concept! :)

Ok I skeptically started doing this about 3 weeks ago and it really works! I have made a dinner Menu for the month. Scary huh...Don't laugh! I have a friend that I work with that does it and talked me into it. I sat down one night and made a list of all the things I know how to cook, and then looked up a few more in my cook books just to add some variety. I only plan 4-5 meals for the week in case we go out or have leftovers. I look at the menu on Sunday, make a list of what I need, and go to the grocery store. IT MAKES THINGS SO EASY! There is none of the "what the heck are we going to eat tonight" while you are staring into the pantry. If I have a really easy meal on Monday then I can go ahead and start chopping up stuff for Tuesday's dinner. You have no idea how much easier this makes things!!! I don't know why I didn't do this a long time ago!

Anyway, what brought up that whole idea is that I was out of town yesterday and didn't go to the grocery store, sooooooo I either have to go after school, or do the old 'pantry stare' and wonder what the heck are we having for dinner tonight!

Fat already?

I am sure that September 14th will come a lot sooner than I think, but right now it sure seems a looooong way away!

I have had 3 people comment on my weight in the last 2 days....Things such as "Well, I wanted to ask if you were pregnant but if you weren't then I didn't want to offend you" or "Is that a little tummy I see".....to those comments I want to say NO PEOPLE THAT'S JUST FAT...It's been there all along! I am only 7 weeks (tomorrow), I still weigh 120.5, my pants still fit the same, I am walking every day, and this little bugger is only 1 centimeter long how can I have a tummy....I can't can I? Is it really there and I am the only one that doesn't see it? Am I already a unobservant mother that I can't tell that? Is my kid going to be the disgusting kid running around with snot allover his face because his/her mom is so unobservant that she has no idea!

I guess I am a little paranoid about gaining weight. I have had to work at my weight since I was 16 and I just don't want it to get out of control.

Ta-Da!

Okay...Okay...I finally have a blog. I figured since I am a technology teacher I should live in the 21st century with my friends and family.

Speaking of the 21st century...I was able to see my child today even though "it" is only 1 cm long. It was pretty cool. It's amazing how you can see so much of something so small. It now has a heart beat that you can hear and see, it has arms, and a tail! They said so far everything looked great! Koby was so good at the Dr.'s today, he asked more questions than I did!

I'm feeling alot better today than I have the past couple of days. I've been feeling like I have a slight hangover, great analagy huh (I'm sure my mom is proud...Hi mom!)! I've had a headache, been extremely tired, and my stomach feels a little off. But....oh well it could be ten times worse, so no complaints here!
